We developed a comprehensive strategy, understood our target customer base and demographic, and crafted a playful but classy and sophisticated brand. Our inviting interior design and research led us to a concept that caters to traditional music enthusiasts and a broader community with diverse musical tastes. We drew inspiration from clubs and discos of the past and wanted to modernize the experience. We developed the brand to hone in on a sense of fun and nostalgia. Bold colours, a playful logo, and typography all combined to inform our interior design.  Our first site meeting revealed several challenges that we needed to overcome. The existing bar, kitchen, HVAC, and washroom locations had to remain the same, presenting constraints. However, we overcame these challenges with innovative solutions.  The chosen layout integrated the DJ booth into the bar, with everything built-in for vinyl and digital DJs already in place. A bold backdrop of a shelving unit with backlit primary colour blocks and hundreds of ready-to-play vinyl sets the stage for a great party. This backdrop is an element of the space photographed often and unmistakably inside Boogie.  To create a cohesive guest experience, we used brand colours throughout the interior. We added arches to draw a connection between the brand and the interior. Inspired by the "B" in the logo, arches were used throughout the space as the primary architectural separation, in the back bar shelving, in the forms of the millwork throughout, the bar face slats, and even in the pattern on the floor tile.  We invite you to stop by for approachable cocktails, small bites, and great music, all facilitated by the interior design, brand, and strategy we developed to ensure a fantastic guest experience.
